Trans people meeting socially during the week in Manchester has been an every week thing since the late 1970's.
These days, still expanding boundaries, we have a have a well trod wednesday schedule for new, novice and shy people who prefer the safety and acceptance of diversity that the Village gives and a non-Village routine that I lead in and around the city area. My experience is that Trans people are generally accepted in society and sensible trans visibility only helps to cement that acceptance.
The Village option and timings;
6pm to 9pm you will usually find ladies in Via or Velvet on Canal Street.
8pm to 11pm ladies meet up in Iconic Bar on Richmond Street, a chilled and very friendly little bar where you will get 10% off their drinks just for being a trans person :-)
11pm-ish people will usually drift back to Via in Canal Street or to The Goose, NewYorkNewYork or Centre Stage which are all on Bloom Street.
The City option and timings;
I will be out in town all day through to 2am-ish in the morning so just message me if you want to discuss hanging out with me. The already fixed times and locations are;
2pm-ish to 5pm-ish I will be shopping and cafe-ing in the centre of town until around
5:30 pm to 8pm-ish some of us will meet up for dinner at The Bishopgate, 7-11 Lower Mosley Street M2 3DW where I have the magic power of a voucher giving us 33% off their food menu prices. 4 of us are booked in so far, if you want to join us let me know so I pick the right sized table when I get there to fit everyone into.
8pm after dinner, I will decide where I am going at the time but if anyone needs walking back to The Village to meet those in Iconic I can do that first.
If you want to arrange to meet up with me in town during the day before 5:30pm you can have my contact details but please be on time as unreliable people from the past have taught me to always stick to my schedule and I will be gone if you are late. Please also respect that we will be out among the mainly straight general public so dress in a way that a mother will not find impossible to explain to her child why it is that we choose to be diverse from societal norms. Please also wear shoes fit for walking around town in as I am not into doing snails paced wanderings.

Come if you can as it is a lovely, social evening, a chance to make new friends, new memories and you will be continuing that tradition of trans people meeting in Manchester on Weekdays for almost 50 years..... and how much life do we all have left anyway?...... so let's make the most of it!
