Wednesday 26th August in Manchester
Trans people, together with our cis friends and allies, have been meeting and socialising in Manchester on Wednesday evenings since the late 1970s as the Manchester TV/TS Group in 1974-75 and later Northern Concord then Manchester Concord. We are a modern evolution of that Manchester tradition and everyone is welcome, whether you are completely new, a cross-dresser finding your feet, a trans woman living full time or somewhere in between.
🌈 The Village Option
People often begin meeting during the late afternoon, usually in Via, before moving on to Velvet. Around 8pm on people drift into Iconic on Richmond Street which is our main meeting place for the evening. Once Iconic closes the popular venues are Via, The Goose, New York New York, Centre Stage, Brewers and other nearby bars.
🏙️ The City Option
I will spend the morning and afternoon in and around the city, have a meal somewhere around either Deansgate or Northern Quarter in the late afternoon and call into Iconic around 9pm
A group of ladies will be going Vada Vada 7-9 New Wakefield Street M1 5NP from early evening to eat pizza and stay for the comedy acts, entrance for the acts is £10 but the bar prices are notably cheaper than most city centre venues so it balances out.

For anyone new to socialising in Manchester, these are two quite different options. The city-centre option involves mixing with the general public in mainstream venues and is intended for those who are comfortable dressing to fit naturally into that environment. If you are unsure whether it would suit you, please message me beforehand.
The Gay Village is, of course, a much more diverse environment and welcomes all forms of personal expression.
If you are a cis man, please arrange to come with one of the ladies or speak to me beforehand so we can ensure that your expectations are appropriate. We are a social group, not a dating or sexual-activities group.
