How are Response Ratings calculated?
|
If you have donated to the site in the past calendar month, you are given a feature called Response Ratings.
This lets you see how frequently a user replies to initial contact from other users.
This can be useful to see, in that some users may prefer to use the website features, and the chatroom, but rarely respond to messages sent to them. Or maybe they respond to all Admirers but rarely respond to other TGirls.
You can see the response rating on their profile, underneath the Send Message button.
So how is your response rating calculated?
Well, the site looks at all your messages sent to you between 2 months, and 1 week ago. It ignores all messages in the past week, since you are given a week to respond before it would affect your response rating.
It ignores all messages sent from myself, or generated automatically by the tvChix site.
It also ignores all messages sent to you in response to one of your own messages. You do not have to reply to a reply.
If you use the junk mail filter (see Edit Profile screen), all messages which have been automatically moved to your Junk Folder are also ignored. You do not need to reply to junk messages, why spend your valuable time typing if someone else hasnt offered the same courtesy?
The percentage of the remaining messages which you replied to, is your response rating.
So if I want to keep a 100% response rating, im supposed to work all this out?
No, in your mailbox, messages which will affect your response rating if left unreplied to, appear as a light blue envelope, instead of a grey one.
Its a pain to keep my response rating at 100% !
Theres no benefit to keeping it at 100% unless you want to encourage messages from lots of users.
The only purpose of response ratings is to let other users know how likely you are to respond, depending on whether theyre a TGirl or Admirer
Why does one of my Response Ratings show 'No Stats' ?
This means you have not had any messages which qualify as counting towards your Response Ratings.
For example, if you have no had any *new* messages from other users recently, it would show No Stats (since tvChix has no messages to base a Response Rating on).
This is different to it showing 0%, which would suggest you have had messages, but have ignored them.
