This is the world famous Watercress Line which runs preserved steam and diesel trains between Alton Station ( connected to the national rail system ) and Alresford Station. About 8 miles of single track with passing loops which enables trains to run in either direction at the same time using a rare tablet system.
Open to the general public, train timetables and rosters are available on the website or look on the events list for specific times.
Easy parking at both stations and with a depot at Ropley.
No changing facilities but ample opportunity to eat at cafés and frequently in a buffet car on the train.
