Home of Outskirts, Birmingham's social support group for trans people and their friends.Equator Bar is always a friendly place towards trans people at any time. Outskirts meets there on the 1st and 3rd Monday of the month. Most people arrive around 8.00pm, bar closes around midnight. There is a well lit NCP car park nearby and an open car-park just down the road.
It is a mixed gay bar, smart and comfortable with food served during the day.

Located at the Equator bar on Hurst St Birmingham, there is usually parking spaces around on the streets, free after 18;00 or there is the Arcadian Multistory near by. We meet every 1st & 3rd Wednesdays of the month. Come along, and introduce yourself, we don't bite. |

TRANSCEND Birmingham (previously Birmingham Belles), a great Trans and Non-binary night out in Birmingham's friendly LGBTQ+ village. We meet up on the third Saturday of every month in Equator on Hurst St at 8 pm until around 9.30, and then head off with friends around the village area. In reality I'm almost always there by 7pm, and most of us will probably head for the Fox around 9.30 or 10 where our very own Roberta is DJ for the night, and stay until at least 1 am. (That's usually when I head home, in March some were still out at 4.30am!) But its a free-form event - arrive late, leave early, go on to Missing, the Village, Eden, the Fountain or venture further afield - and if you want to club through the early hours there's Nightingales night club. Anyone on the Trans spectrum and their partners are welcome, there is no 'dress code', wear whatever you are comfortable in - as long as it's suitable for public viewing! If you need to stay overnight the Ibis 'Birmingham New Street Station' and the Travelodge 'Birmingham Central Bull Ring' are the best for a short safe walk to the venues. A fab night in brum ....took a while to rev up but took off in the FOX ,Always nice to get affirmation so when the DRAG D.J . gave me the full Waynes World "we are not worthy " in MISSING kinda made my night ,its a good job im shy n retiring lol .....ANYWAYS highly recomend !!

Great to see everyone again for another fantastic Saturday night in Equator bar and the Fox. Warmest night for weeks, no rain, good craic, and DJ Robbie on stupendous form as always on the Fox decks. And only 4 weeks before we do it all again :) |

Well it was a busy one. Starting to attract a few from further afield. Sadly the number of venues is shrinking as developers move in but We still had a lovely night. It was fab to see everyone and it would be lovely to see a few more in 2026 We have our own house DJ and she's good. Awondefully eclectic mix of music to dance too tap your toe too. Join us in 26?
