The Manchester ladies social can be found here from 8pm each Wednesday.Iconic is a cosy bar tucked away from the hustle and bustle of Canal Street on the adjacent Richmond Street.
It used to be a hair salon that is now known as a friendly bar with an impressively well-stocked spirits collection, particularly when it comes to gin as they have up to 150 in stock at times). All of their drinks are reaosnably priced.
The staff team and owner are very supportive of our trans community, are chilled and relaxed and everyone is friendly and chatty. You will be very welcome here and not judged in any way.
The Decor is warm and cosy, the music is gentle background music with no DJ's or drag acts most nights though there is ‘Monday night madness’ SpeedQuizzing and Thursday night bingo. On most nights it is a good place to come and sit, relax with friends and have a chat together.
It is one of the nicer bars in the area but also one of the lesser known bars too so be different and give it a try.

Wednesday 26th March From 8pm to 11pm our evening is always focussed around meeting up as a group in Iconic at 29 Richmond Street M1 3NB where we are welcomed by the owner Terry and his lovely colleagues Louis and Ste. We are blessed with a 10% off drinks deal here (thank you Terry) so if you are a regular visitor ask at the bar for our discount card. Generally there will be around 20 Ladies out socialising on the evening but not all of them are necessarily in Iconic bar at the same time as people drift in and out. The ladies present will vary from first time out socially to full time experienced and everything in between including locals and visitors from around the country. You will always find someone that you can relate to and compare your personal journey with as everyone is friendly and approachable. We do not have cliques or anyone judging anyone else, these are all really cool, down to earth, friendly and happy ladies. If you are alone or new, ask for me and I will introduce you informally to everyone. If you come and sit on the edge of the group without asking for me I will assume you want privacy so I won't interrupt you. During the day time I will be wandering around Manchester centre and surrounds, if anyone wants to join me please just ask. I will be eating between 5pm to 8pm in a bar type place either in Northern Quarter, Deansgate or St Peters Square area, again if you want to join me please ask. I chase down deals where ever I go so it will usually have a discount offer. I get asked if the non-LGB places I go to "trans friendly"..... well, I am trans and I am friendly so yes, they all are. 5pm to 8pm or during the day, if you don't want to leave the village you might find some ladies out in either Velvet or Via When Iconic closes at 11pm I will wander away from the village, you can join me if you wish or you can stay in the village with those who prefer it there. Popular locations to go in the village are; The Molly House (they might have crying and wailing trad-folk singers), The Goose (you will have to fit around their Wednesday quiz night), New York New York, Eva, Via, Oscar's, The Brewers, BarPop, The Church. Just a wonderful night out in Manchester with some of the best people you could wish to meet. If you want to get out, feel safe and have a really good time, too, then this event is the one. The amazing Alison does so much to arrange these nights and make everyone feel welcome and safe. |

Really good night. Iconic is a nice venue and the bar staff friendly. Been on a few Wednesdays. Varies in numbers. New girls out for the first time to much more experienced. Everyone friendly sociable. Alison is great at facilitating and helping make sure people are welcomed.
