Think Ems, summed up the respect, feeling and charm completely, and oh so correct with the 'Julie wink' must admit forgot about the subtleness of that simple action. Forever in our thoughts. XXX

Strange concept , writing a review for a funeral ,but here goes ......it was a lovely turnout from the girls of the Retro Rendezvous ...at least ten of us ,which reflected how loved and respected Julie was to us all . The service wasn't heavy on religious content ,which I assume was Julie's wish ,the odd nod to a higher power ( Lords prayer etc.) ,but it felt like a celebration of Julie's life ,which is as it should be . Tina gave a wonderful talk, which summarised their long friendship and tales of ,what really was ,the unexpected !! There were many cousins and other relatives present ,and it was a lovely atmosphere in the pub after as everyone mixed and chatted together, sharing stories and memories of Julie . She will be sadly missed ,but certainly not forgotten, especially on Wednesdays,ar the Retro bar .Anyone who ever caught one of her cheeky ,playful winks ( usually when teasing or winding someone up ) will agree . To me she epitomised how one doesn't need to be loud to be a great ' force' in this world .God bless you Julie ,you were a true gem ....♥️ Emily xx |

I think we gave Julie a good send-off. I felt she was there with us at the crematorium.
