![]() 🎉 Leeds First Friday – The UK’s largest trans+ social event! By the trans community, for the trans community. And for anyone who loves a night out that’s fabulous and gloriously unpredictable. 🏳️⚧️🏳️🌈🤩 It’s the first Friday of the month, so why not trade your Netflix queue for a night out where the cocktails are strong, the chats are long, and the community vibe is as warm as your heated throw. 👋 Meet the LFF Team Hiya, I’m Grai, just one of the many organisers who help make this magic happen every month. We are a whole crew of legends working together to pull off an event that feels effortless but isn’t (seriously, have you tried coordinating us?). From volunteers to event hosts to support groups, this team is all about creating a night to remember for everyone. LFF has been running for over 15 years, and it’s grown into a mix of big meet-ups, craft ale tours, and glamorous cocktail bars. Whether you fancy a chinwag, a boogie, or just finding a corner to people-watch, you’re in the right place. 👏 Newcomers – We’ve Got You! First time at LFF? Don’t panic—everyone’s been there. Our newcomer event, Made It!, is the perfect way to ease in. Join us from 7-8 pm at the Bridge Bar (no, not Bridge End Social...we love our Bridge themed venues!). It’s low-pressure, friendly, and a great way to kickstart your night, helped along by a growing team who are there to settle you in. 🗺️ Can’t Find Your Way? We’ve got a map! Check out www.leedsfirstfriday.com/map to explore all the venues and events. Or just follow the glitter trail. 📱 There’s an App for That! Stay in the loop with drinks discounts, makeup details, venue details, and safety updates via the LFF App. It’s like your personal PA. Visit www.leedsfirstfriday.com/app on your phone to get started. 🎉 The Big Meetup Kick things off at Bridge End Social from 7 pm. It’s a great spot with two floors and plenty of room to chat without someone yelling ‘Wonderwall’ in the background. Plus, they do breakfast the next day. Perfect for post-night-out recovery or pretending you’re a morning person. 💄 Get Ready to Shine Our makeup artists and stylists are here to help you look and feel fabulous. Book early to avoid disappointment, unless you’re fine with winging that eyeliner in the taxi. MUA listings in the app. 🏩 Where to Stay From the Marriott to the Travelodge, there’s a hotel to suit every budget and every level of post-night-out regret. Feeling adventurous? Stay further out, save some cash, and hop in a taxi. Just remember to tip your driver—especially if they don’t complain about your sequins on the seat. ‼ Friendly Reminder LFF is a social event for connection, fun, and community—not a dating mixer. If romance is your mission, there are other events for that. At Leeds First Friday, you’re never just a face in the crowd—you’re part of something bigger. A community built on joy, connection, and being unapologetically yourself. Whether you’re here to make new friends, rediscover old ones, or simply soak in the good vibes, we can’t wait to welcome you. For all the details, visit www.leedsfirstfriday.com. |

Drinks in Fibre around 7.30pm then fab fab fab dinner at Bibis. Afterwards a stroll to The Bridge for karaoke. More drinks in Smokestack and then upstairs for a dance. Everywhere was busy, lots of girls, and a great atmosphere in Leeds as usual.

I had a great night, but there were ups and downs. Firstly I think we need a dating type app so we can locate the other girls; I went to pints and straws' first venue on Boar Lane and at 20 past 2 no one there; I even walked down to the Brewery (which was just about empty of any customers) at about 4pm - no one. Went into Viaduct and only bingo players; not one LLF girl that I could spot at any rate. I could hardly see any LLF about anywhere. Later after Bridge End Social, a few of us went into Fibre at about ten, sniffing about for the free pizza; none out, but the barman very kindly went down and made them and brought them up; all for 6-8 LLFgirls and a gorgeous trio of real girls and a spectacular looking guy in hotpants; we had our own private party with unlimited pizza; where was everyone !!! ? I did the town on Saturday, saw no other LLF about. Had my brows shaped at Harvey Nicols and avoided the demo up Briggate. I thought I would try the Saturday night even after posting on chix and getting no feedback on the viability of it. Viaduct was rammed as expected, with girls and hens but I could not see one LLF girl from the Friday (that I could recognise). It looked a bit scary at first sight and I actually went in came out as it looked raucous ... and came back for one last determined try. I ending up staying there for a couple of hours and had a great time with all the hens and girls dancing and talking... and I was on my own. I usually find that even on one's own it is possible to have a good time though it can be scary at the first attempt. |

Great night as always! Had no issues in any of the venues I went to and there were always great girls to tag along with wherever I went :) Grai has done a great job building out the community in recent years so you'd be surprised how many people turn up!
