Not the sitcom with Victoria Wood and Julie Walters, but a monthly meet-up for girls who like to dine out together. (And well-behaved gentlemen ). It will probably be early each month, and usually in or near Soho. Locations will vary, and times may be different to take advantage of menu offers. Number will be limited to SIX, for ease of seating and conversation. Please put your name down only if you are sure of coming....no Maybe's please. Unless someone orders significantly less, or has no wine, we will be splitting the final bill equally.
Last month the weather was dreadful and Wahaca was closed. Not deterred, we had a jolly evening in Strada on the South Bank. But tonight we're having another crack at Mexican food, and hopefully it'll be dry and sunny, so bring your sombrero!
Wahaca is a good value restaurant situated on the South Bank, in front of the Queen Elizabeth Hall, and next to Waterloo Bridge. Tables can't be booked so we may need to queue to get in. Meet outside at 8pm or earlier in the BFI riverside bar under Waterloo Bridge.
Tube to Waterloo, or Embankment and then walk across the Golden Jubilee Bridge. Or bus to Aldwych and walk over Waterloo Bridge.
