Traditional tea room located at the Eastern end of the Promenade on the sea front and adjacent to the Redoubt Fortress & Military Museum. It has with its own outdoor grassed patio area and serves a reasonable range of traditional goodies (cream teas, etc). In the the building for a limited time is the (free) Eastbourne Ancestors exhibition, which is worth a visit in it's own right, especially as their is an opportunity to dress like a Saxon. Have been twice in 2014 and was served promptly and courteously too, so no problem with being discreet in the TG community and also using the correct loo for the attire being worn.

This tourist venue is seasonal (open between Beginning of April and End of October) and is set around a man made fishing lake. Dogs are NOT allowed. All details can be found on their website. On a visit in Mid October 2014, I found the staff very friendly and welcoming. Lottbridge Drove is on the 'A22 New Route' from the A27 coastal road, if coming from the North you will go past it first as it is accessed from the northbound carraigeway only. For the train buffs they have 2 diesel locos and 7 steam, not all in traffic at any one time.
