TNH starts off at around 8:00pm in the main bar at Hales Bar. It's usually quite quiet around this time and ideal for a chat and natter with the other girls. Thursday night is Karaoke night which kicks off around 9:00pm which is usually when the bar starts filling up and buzzing with a healthy mix of regular patrons as well as visitors to the town. There is no requirement to sing … just drink up the friendly atmosphere of Harrogate's oldest gas lit bar or sample the range of fine ales on draught and enjoy the evening.
Although Hales bar is renown for being LGBT friendly it welcomes all clientele. The bar usually closes around 12:00 - 12:30am. Most girls then head off down the road to another bar called Montey's where you can drink and dance the night away (other night clubs are available). Free parking is available after 6:00pm on all the streets surrounding the bars.

Come and let your hair down at the South's oldest established monthly social/dance evening for the trans community in the south. We aim to provide a friendly social opportunity to meet old and new friends in a convivial atmosphere, at a private venue, where all trans and allies are welcome.
We meet on the third Thursday of each month for the central South's best party night.

This is not a dating, hook-up or 'play' event. It is supported by the Beaumont Society and all reputable support organisations. The entrance fee is £5. There is also a raffle and there are often extra items for sale and makeovers too.
This month's optional theme is Schoolgirl Prom Night or 80s, but there is no need to follow the theme if you do not wish.

This is a perfect afternoon out if you are new, or shy to meet other girls and make friends.
Queen Bea is welcoming, warm and waiting to meet you at her house in the middle of nowhere!
There is a cover charge to attend of £25pp.
And makeovers are available at £45 if booked in advance.

The club opens at 7.00pm and closes at 2.00am.
There is a great bar and a netted off play area with a swing.

NB. Ted would prefer a cash bar but can accomodate bank transfers.
Ted has now been running his club since 1990 and it is a firmly established venue for T girls and their admirers every Thursday night. He also runs a more chilled out evening on Sundays and Mondays.
Thursday night is well known by the established community but there may be many newcomers who are unaware of one of the premier meeting places in London.
I wrote an article a few years ago on Teds Place for a magazine and append a slightly amended version below so that you can get the flavour of the evening.

Hidden away in Fulham, west London, is one of the scene’s best known bars.
Walking down the North End Road, you won’t see flashing lights and bouncers outside the door of one of the oldest venues for trans people. In fact, you could walk past the entrance without knowing it was there. For those in the know, there is a big sign in the window in red proclaiming:-

A chance to meet others chat and if you wish to get a bit more intimate then why not make use of the 7 playroom.
Please note that not everyone who attends make use of the playrooms. Some are there to socialise only.
The parties are very relaxed and non pushy and are held near Glasgow city centre.
There are several lounges, 7 playrooms, including dungeon, cinema room and several private playrooms, smoking area.
