INTRODUCTION
TGirl Friday events are every second Friday of the month. Our events are held at Bar Plus, Chelmsford. The bar consists of two bar areas, main bar, and cocktail bar. There is a large covered and heated outside area which follows guidelines for safe smoking.
SAFE SPACE VENUE
Bar Plus celebrates diversity and inclusivity. Therefore, it is a safe space venue for all transgender+ and crossdressers. The venue is owned and managed by Kirsty & Lilly, a married transgender couple, our staff are either transgender, or are from the queer community.
VIP TREATMENT
The TGirl Friday events offer VIP treatment to all trans people and they also benefit from receiving a 25% discount on all drinks including beers, wines, spirits, mixers, soft drinks, cocktails, shots, and coffees.
ENTERTAINMENT
There is weekly free Drag Queen entertainment on either of our stages (Inside and outside) The venue is freshly decorated with comfortable seating, and has premium PA systems throughout the premises. Mood lighting and dynamic laser shows during the latter part of the night.
OVERNIGHT STAYS
Chelmsford is home to two Travelodge hotels nearby, A central overground mainline train which is 15 minutes walk to the venue, or a short taxi ride. Car Parking is situated at the rear of the venue in the council run car park. To access the car park, patrons would need to find George street which runs adjacent to Moulsham Street. Upon entering the car park, please look for our large Bar Plus sign which also has a rear door entrance. If the door is locked, there is a door bell to alert us that you are there.
CHANGING FACILITIES
The venue offers changing and makeup rooms for those who require that facility. Please speak to a member of staff who will show you to the facilities which are upstairs above the venue.
Dress code
TGirl Friday is a chance for you to dress to impress, we do ask for tasteful attire as the evenings are not exclusive which means that the general public are also granted entrance.
TGIRL DISCOUNTS
This is a free to enter venue, and as stated, TGirls are treated as VIP's with a huge 25% discount on all drinks.
LATE-NIGHT LICENCE
Friday nights are our late night club vibe evenings with entertainment and professional DJs. Our licence allows us to serve alcoholic drinks until 2am, and we must close our doors at 3am.
NO PLAY
TGirl Fridays are a social only event. There are no play rooms. Therefore, you would have to find your own provisions (hotel rooms) There are three bedrooms that can be rented (no breakfast) and these rooms will be very quickly taken.
LOCAL AREA
Chelmsford is a forward thinking city, close to London, and has an inclusive outlook with diversity. However, that is not to say that every individual thinks this way. Therefore, some caution must be considered when journeying on foot. We do not expect any of our visitors to receive negative reactions, but we are also realists and would like to point out that the possibility of such a thing can happen.

There is a US style diner at π³οΈβππ³οΈβπ Pink Punters. Burgers, pizza etc
Turn left at the roundabout near the church and there are some take-aways, including quite a decent chippy for these parts.
Shopping ποΈ
If you head north past the pubs and over the double roundabout there is a shopping area with Next
Clearance, TK Maxx etc. If you can get up early enough on the Sat there are some good bargains.
Opposite is a large Tesco for clothes, petrol and food.
The centre MK is a massive shopping mall, but can get busy.
Travel/ Directions π§³
The venue listing will give you a map for the location.
Driving: If you donβt have GPS etc MK can be rather confusing to say the least. At its simplest
get to the roundabout at the southern end of the dual carriageway section of the A5. Go all the way
round the roundabout, almost as if about to head north up the A5. Instead take the turning just
before, which is the old road Watling Street. The Camp and PPs are about a mile up the road, just
after the garden centre.
Coachways is located at Junction 15 on the MI and you would need to get a bus/ taxi to the Camp.
Rail to MK is on the mainline Euston/ Birmingham. Get off at Bletchley and there are (not very
frequent) local trains to Fenny Stratford - about 10 min journey.
Airports: βοΈ
Luton β there are buses from the airport to MK Centre, best bet is check on times etc online.
Alternatively bus down to Luton station, train to Bedford then change for train to Bletchley, then
either local train for 10 min journey to Fenny Stratford or taxi.
Birmingham - station at the airport and train to MK/ Bletchley then local service to Fenny
Stratford.
